Dell Mini Note (Inspiron 910?) details leaked — SCN yawns

It’d appear that all sorts of details are available now for Dell’s netbook the world has been itching for. Or some of it, because I’m certainly not one of them. In fact, it almost seems like I’m one of the only ones who looks at it and is a little underwhelmed. Sure, it’s a great deal for the price, but I don’t consider if the Second Coming of the netbook.

It’s still using the same Atom CPU that (most) everyone else uses, it still has the same horrible keyboard design that many others use, and it otherwise features essentially the same specs as every other ~9″ netbook. Okay, so in that respect, it doesn’t look particularly unique or compelling. But let’s look at the positives.

It has two minicard slots that are accessible via a bottom panel (ahem, every other manufacturer should take notes) and you can get it with Ubuntu. Am I missing something? I’m sure I must be, because aside from the rumored price of $300 (which, again, is rumor), I just don’t see anything that makes this netbook stand out and demand attention.

It looks like every other netbook out there: still has a large bezel around the screen, looks kind of chunky, has the same arrangement of media/port features. Is it because it’s Dell that everyone is so eagerly awaiting this?

Please, someone tell me what I’m missing because I’m really, really confused about this.
