I hope your French is better than mine, because all I can say is “I don’t speak French.” Anyhow, a review of the Kohjinsha SX3 netbook tablet that left me scratching my head has surfaced. Again, because my French is rather woeful, it’s hard to say for certain, but it’d appear that the initial response (it’s apparently not an exhaustive review) is positive. With the help of some translating from our big brother G, I did some poking around and it looks like it’s packing 1 gb of RAM under the hood (with the option for 2) and a 60 gb hard drive. That more or less sounds like what everyone else has done on their netbook, but it’s also sporting Windows Vista Home Premium.
I have nothing against Vista (and actually I defend it, for the most part), but it’s not an appropriate operating system for such a slimmed down machine. Then again, since I haven’t used one, I could be completely wrong.
Regardless, the Kohjinsha SX3 netbook tablet has the same awful keyboard that many others do, and interestingly enough, looks like it doesn’t have anywhere near the ports (USB and otherwise) that most netbooks do. I don’t think that’s a big deal because who really needs 3 USB ports on such a low powered device?
Also of note, it appears that there’s a few access panels that lead to other things. Not sure what, but the speculation in comments was for a GPS (GPS? 3G, maybe?) and RAM and maybe something else (3G?).
Regardless, I’ll keep my eyes open for an English translation or review of this thing because now I’m curios.
UltraMobilePC has more on the Kohjinsha SX3 netbook tablet.
