Hey guys, I recently got an ASUS 1000HE and been reading up and doing my homework on how to run OS X on it. Now from what I have been reading the OS is Ideneb which is a ihack version of the OS. I was just curious if I download the Iphone sdk to develop Iphone apps would everything work correctly or would apple be able to see that it isn't a real mac? (I would assume everything would install and work like any normal mac correct?)

Thanks in advance guys!

@Seadog17:
I just wanted to know if there was a way to use the Atheros AR9285 built-in wifi card on the 1005HAB on a leopard install? I dont feel like going through an annoying and possibly impossible snow leopard install. Is the best thing to do is to get a usb wifi adapter that is compatible with OS X?
Thanks

@ Wilson and Matt
Wilson, I am currently having the same issue on my 1005HAB, so your not alone
and Matt, your instructions do not appear clear to me, I do not know if it is due to the different models or what the case maybe, think you can toss in any insight?

the tutorial I used it here

Hey Guys,
I have been working with OS X on my EEE PC for about 4 months now. Back and forth with wiping it off and putting it on. I got everything working with an iDeneb v1.4, and most of the drivers working with iDeneb v1.3. I have NOT swapped out my wifi card (too much effort and don't wanna spend the $40 to get the dell wifi card). ANYHOW i wanted to know if anyone knew of how to get the Atheros AR9285 wifi card working? I've been looking around and i cannot find a kext that supports this. AND I found a couple of people who said they had a kext that worked and SURPRISINGLY, OS X (in System Preferences -> Network ) still was unable to find my wifi card. HELP!!! I want to use Leopard on my netbook, as i am unable to get a macbook pro until next July.

Thanks,
Matt

For wireless problem in ASUS EEE1000HE with iDeneb 10.5.5. Try downloading driver from http://www.ralinktech.com/support.php?s=3. Select PCI/mPCI/CB(RT2860//RT2790) Files (.dmg). Then install this file in OSX iDeneb. Then yours eee 1000HE will detect Wireless card. It's working properly for my EEE 1000HE.
