I found this blog a few months back that may offer some insight into tweaking the little things that drive us crazy. Check it out, if anything it is an entertaining read.

One on these days I'll get it right on the first go around.

HI all,

in order to enable bluetooth switch on/off, the correct product id must be put in the driver Info.plist (set to 8529 for idVendor 2652)

I had sleep working great in Snow Leopard, but I decided to mess with the netbook and had to re-install. The only thing I did different this time, was to install Snow Leopard directly instead of using iDeneb 1.4 first and then upgrading it. I'll have to go back as see if the sleepenable.kext file is the trick to this mystery.

azsooner,

Does sleep work in any way for you with Snow Leopard? Really it is the only thing that doesn't for me (although I haven't tried to systematically try everything). I'd certainly try it if it was fairly easy. I tried the vanilla method on insanelymac, but could not get it to install. I have a working dual-boot XP/Leopard (iAtkos) system so I'm not wanting to rock the boat (or waste an afternoon) unless it is pretty easy.

Glad to hear you were successful though. Maybe I'll join you in the near future.

Tried this new install version and it worked great. I now have Snow Leopard 10.6.2 installed on my netbook. Much cleaner and easier than before. Installing from a USB drive is definitely the way to go.

007raj, I do have a problem with waking from sleep and haven't been able to correct it. Basically when it goes to sleep (from the apple menu or inactivity) it never wakes up. I have to hold the power button down and restart. Lid closure doesn't do anything at this point (doesn't cause the computer to sleep). I think I need to find a working Clamshell kext for lid closure to work, but haven't yet. For now, I set sleep for 1 hour because if I leave it unattended for that long, I must not really need it.

Plus, since I just threw in an Intel X25-M SSD, boot time is pretty fast now so I just shut down when I'm done.
