I'm on my third one. For something that wasn't designed to be an HTPC they sure do a great job. The new Mini's of course are even better at this non-feature - I have a 22" monitor hooked up on the desk and of course mini-DisplayPort->DVI-HDMI to the 42 incher. If Apple would stop trying to babysit our morals and just put a damn HDMI port in the Mini that would be welcome. Alas, you have to run audio out to the TV as well since DVI can't do/handle/designed for audio. The old G2 Mini and the new one both are great for 720p. If you're feeling somewhat Zen you can also clean up and minimize desk clutter with the mini and a wireless keyboard/mouse.
