HTC Building Samsung Galaxy Note Clone
I’m sure HTC won’t like it very much that I used the word “clone” instead of “competitor” or some such, but I kid. Anyhow, we’ve talked about how ZTE (remember them? Big Chinese manufacturer ring a bell?) is working on a couple of Samsung Galaxy Note clones, but this would seem to be some sort of proof that the “giant phone” (as a few people have referred to mine) is successful. We haven’t even mentioned the LG Optimus Vu, but that ought to be out relatively soon and is yet another competitor to the gigantic-phone-with-a-stylus category.
ZTE Building Bigger Phones Than Samsung Galaxy Note
Have you heard of ZTE before? If you’re on the bleeding tech edge or in China, then you probably have. If you haven’t heard of them, don’t worry because you’ll only be hearing more about them in the future. While this isn’t about what ZTE has done in the marketplace nor about how big they’re going to be, you might want to keep it in the back of your mind while you consider this: ZTE wants to make big phones. How big? Think Samsung Galaxy Note big.
Samsung Galaxy S3 to Have Eye Tracking?
It’s all the rage now for everyone to start talking about how they think the Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone is going to have eye tracking built in. I’m not sure what to think of that since it seems a little bit… unlikely, especially given that it’s a phone and that sort of thing requires constant processing which in turn drains the battery, and phones don’t have an excess of either. Regardless, everyone’s talking about it.
Samsung Galaxy S3 “Leaks”
I love when people get all snarky about other people supposedly uncovering leaks of products. In this case, the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone has been “leaked” so many times that it’s starting to look like the Titanic. And if you look at the latest one that just popped up, well, it’s hard to say with any certainty that it’s a legitimate leak.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Redesign Before Launch?
Hot on the heels of news about the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet being delayed, there comes more rumor and speculation that it may be more than a processor and software bump. The web is blowing up with reports about Samsung going back to the drawing board because the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet that was on display at Mobile World Congress apparently wasn’t all that different from some of Samsung’s other offerings, for instance the Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet (of note: the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 tablet should be out soon).
Samsung Galaxy S3 Delayed Because of Ice Cream Sandwich For S2?
Do you remember ages ago when Samsung promised everyone that they were going to do a better job and that, really, they were going to update all of their phones to the latest version of Android? Sure, it may take a while, but they were good for it. Like how Wimpy is good for the money Tuesday if only you’ll give him the money for a hamburger today. Yeah, I just compared Samsung to a Popeye character.

This post alone could take up the entirety of the front of any major news site if one wanted to go into even half of the details of the variety of rumors out there, but we’re not going to do that.
