Intel Pineview Atom – PineTrail-D Platform

This is something else that’ll be coming down the pipe soon, but Intel is still hard at work on adding options to their line of netbook and nettop processors, the Atom. This time around, instead of talking about minor performance bumps like with the Intel Atom/Intel GN40, this is more about the little details about how Intel is changing the CPU. (more…)

Intel Atom N280 / Intel GN40

This is just a quick blurb, but it’s all over the map by now that Intel has announced the Intel Atom N280. While it’s not a huge improvement over the current generation single core Atoms, it should offer better performance once it’s out. (more…)

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000 and More

Intel this week has released five new processors that you should be seeing on the market soon, and even be seeing them in some upcoming products. While the slew of dual core CPUs is moderately interesting, the curious one is the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000, a low-price, low-power quad core CPU that you’ll be seeing a lot of soon. (more…)

Intel No Longer In Love With Netbooks?

Intel UrbanMax Tablet Computer: More Details and Video

Hot on the heels of the pictures and initial light information and speculation, there’s more information out regarding the slick Intel UrbanMax. Is it a tablet? A netbook? Netbook tablet computer? Tablet netbook? A netlet? (Please, don’t let that term catch on.) Well, according to Intel, it’s primarily designed as a touch device, but that still doesn’t answer the question. (more…)

More details on the Lenovo S10 netbook

(Updated with corrected video card information. Damn you, Lenovo!) Okay, I admit I wasn’t too excited about this thing a couple of days ago when they first appeared on Lenovo’s site, and while I’m still irked by the keyboard layout, further details have come out that indicate I may have been rash with my initial disinterest. (more…)
