Moving sucks? I’ve said that already, right? Well, still trying to get situated. Anyhow.
AMD has introduced a couple more new processors that may start showing up in netbooks/nettops soon. While the Semprons aren’t generally in the same league as the Athlons, it’s still worth taking a quick peek at these to see what they offer. (more…)
The speculation continues, and this time another site I don’t generally go to for my Apple rumors has suggested we may see an Apple tablet computer (sort of an Apple netbook, too, given the size) next month. Shockingly, it’s a damn good idea and possibility, and it somewhat goes along with what I’ve been hoping for. (more…)
It must be the middle of December because the Apple rumor mill is up and running. While there’s certainly no shortage of Apple rumors to be found, this one is a pretty well thought out one that I thought others might be interested in. Talk of an Apple netbook or an Apple tablet computer isn’t new, but Ezra Gottheil has put his brain to use and come up with a pretty compelling rumor. (more…)
According to word coming a recent a conference Intel attended (IT Supply Chain — sounds boring, doesn’t it?), it would appear that the silicon giant had a few interesting, and surprising, things to say about netbooks, namely that they seem unconvinced that this is going to be a large market. The Wind has developed a reputation as one of the better overall netbooks out there for a variety of reasons: value, construction quality, flexibility, and a nice keyboard. So what’s the solution to a mostly non-existent problem? Make it better. (more…)
So it was just last week that Dell decided to let the world know that they’re going to be releasing what looks to be a compelling netbook, the Dell Mini 12 Netbook / Dell Inspiron 1210 Netbook, and this week we have HP re-entering the market with their HP Mini 1000 netbook. What separates this from the original HP Mini netbook? Well, let’s take a look. (more…)
This looks to be pretty breaking news, but if you remember when we last spoke about the Dell Mini 12 netbook, we were speculating about possible cool things like a dual core Atom and an almost-full size (if not full-size) keyboard among other things. Well, while some things are definitely looking good with this machine, I’m pretty sure I won’t be regretting my MacBook Air purchase when it arrives. (more…)
