Have you heard of ZTE before? If you’re on the bleeding tech edge or in China, then you probably have. If you haven’t heard of them, don’t worry because you’ll only be hearing more about them in the future. While this isn’t about what ZTE has done in the marketplace nor about how big they’re going to be, you might want to keep it in the back of your mind while you consider this: ZTE wants to make big phones. How big? Think Samsung Galaxy Note big.
Hot on the heels of news about the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet being delayed, there comes more rumor and speculation that it may be more than a processor and software bump. The web is blowing up with reports about Samsung going back to the drawing board because the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet that was on display at Mobile World Congress apparently wasn’t all that different from some of Samsung’s other offerings, for instance the Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet (of note: the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 tablet should be out soon).
If you were hoping to get your hands on a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet in the near future, then I’m sorry to tell you that you will be waiting a little longer. Though it’s by no means a massive delay, a delay it is, but it’s not all bad. Even though you’ll have to be a little more patient before you can get this tablet, Samsung is likely to sweeten the deal.
So yesterday Ice Cream Sandwich was leaked for the Samsung Galaxy Note smartphone/tablet/phablet, only it was leaked for the AT&T version. A little more digging today has revealed a couple of other little tidbits that might be good to know if you’re considering upgrading to a leaked version of the software on your Samsung Galaxy Note. If you are, you may want to keep a couple of things in mind.
Even though everyone is still waiting for Ice Cream Sandwich to be officially released for the Samsung Galaxy Note Android phone, be it the international version or the AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note, hackers have been active for months now working on it. Though builds have been available in varying stages of function, this is perhaps the first one to come out that has started with a strong base. The early Chinese leaks of the Ice Cream Sandwich Android rom were a good starting point, but it has now come to light that the incomplete AT&T build of Ice Cream Sandwich is available. (more…)
Let’s get this out of the way: the iPad is more than just a big iPod Touch, and I’m going to write my entire review on it. Yes, I’m one of those who thinks that the iPad may just be some sort of new device that defies current definitions of what a computer could or should be. Is it perfect? Of course not. But it is pretty damn cool, and I think you’ll see, it’s potentially the perfect fit for you.
Sure, Apple’s iPad isn’t even out yet, but with the recent announcement that you’ll be able to pre-order your iPad in the US at the end of this week and it’ll be available on April 3rd, this seems like as good a time as any to point out a few apps (and their genres) that are going to make the iPad itself a killer app (app as in appliance). There’s a lot of speculation at this point about whether or not the iPad is going to be a success, but at this point, it almost seems like an absolutely lock thanks to the App Store at iTunes. While the iBookstore and App Store are going to be big reasons why the iPad cleans up in the e-reader market (never mind it’s a lot more than an e-reader), it’s important not to overlook one company that knows the device better than anyone else and also understands how people do work: Apple So, without further ado, let’s start the list of things you’ll be wanting for your Apple iPad.
